Mayor Bloomberg opened a new front in the war over firearms when he went on TV to call on cops nationwide to walk off the job until politicians tighten gun-control laws.

\u00e2\u0080\u009cI don\u00e2\u0080\u0099t understand why the police officers across this country don\u00e2\u0080\u0099t stand up collectively and say, \u00e2\u0080\u0098We\u00e2\u0080\u0099re going to go on strike.
