    "html": "<p>Fram <a href=\"https://www.reddit.com/r/PHP/comments/3wownq/how_do_you_see_the_phpfig/\">a Reddit discussion</a>; please reply over there.</p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>There are some ongoing discussions on the PHP-FIG mailing list about, among other things, how the FIG is seen by the wider PHP community.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><a href=\"https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/php-fig/RK9UuZjt8j4\">Changing Goals</a></p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p><a href=\"https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/php-fig/oqO1ZH5tJKU/-tLYaJWVCQAJ\">Structure and purpose</a></p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Since an earlier discussion pointed out that perhaps the FIG, while well-known, don\u2019t do enough \u201cactive outreach\u201d, consider this an attempt to \u201creach out.\u201d</p>\n<p>Do you think:</p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>The FIG is a bunch of self-aggrandizing elitist jerks who couldn\u2019t write a competent or useful \u201cproposed standards recommendation\u201d if their lives depended on it, and should disband entirely.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>The FIG, while aware that the wider PHP community is watching, writes PSRs primarily for itself, and others can adopt or ignore as they wish;</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>The FIG has become the closest thing to a userland standards group that the PHP community has, and should accept that role;</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Some other opinion?</p>\n</li>\n</ol>\n<p>Thanks in advance for your thoughtful, considered opinion, whether positive or negative.</p>\n</blockquote>\n<p>Again, <a href=\"https://www.reddit.com/r/PHP/comments/3wownq/how_do_you_see_the_phpfig/\">please comment at Reddit</a>.</p>\n"
